FAQs

The Trevo Pro is designed mainly for city commuting, and it can handle light gravel and packed paths, but it’s not intended for rough off-road trails or very uneven terrain. Its 2.1 inch tires are a good all-around width for pavement and occasional mixed surfaces, but you’ll get the best comfort and control on smoother routes.

For a better ride on gravel, keep your speed moderate, run an appropriate tire pressure for your weight and road conditions, and do a quick check that your tires are properly inflated before heading out. If you plan to ride more frequently on loose gravel, sand, or bumpy trails, a fat-tire e-bike is usually a better fit: https://emmo.ca/collections/fat-tire-ebikes

Some local trail rules may apply.

A torque sensor measures how hard you’re pedalling, while a cadence sensor measures whether (and how fast) you’re pedalling.

How they work
• Torque sensor: reads pedal force/torque and increases motor assistance in proportion to your effort, so pushing harder typically gives you more help.
• Cadence sensor: detects pedal rotation and cadence, then provides assistance based more on the selected assist level once pedalling is detected.

How they feel on the road
• Torque sensor: smoother, more “connected” assistance that feels natural when starting, accelerating, and climbing.
• Cadence sensor: more immediate, steady assistance once it’s activated, which can feel especially easy for relaxed cruising.

Which one to choose
Torque sensors are often found on more premium setups for riders who prioritize a natural ride feel and responsive climbing, while cadence sensors are common on value-focused models for riders who want simple, consistent assistance.

In one line: choose torque for the most natural, proportional assist; choose cadence for straightforward, consistent assist and strong value.

Yes. Fat tire e-bikes are built to handle a variety of seasonal road conditions — from wet spring pavement to slushy winter paths. The wide tires improve grip on loose, soft, or uneven surfaces like wet leaves, gravel, light snow, or mud. Their low-pressure design helps absorb shocks and smooth out rough terrain, while features like maintenance-free MAG rims reduce upkeep even in harsher weather. Whether you’re commuting on rainy streets or exploring in snowy parks, they offer comfort, control, and stability year-round.

Dual-piston hydraulic brakes use two pistons (small hydraulic plungers that push the brake pads toward the rotor) to create stronger, smoother, and more consistent stopping power than the single-piston setups found on many e-bikes.

In practical riding, dual-piston brakes can be especially helpful for:
• Heavier riders or higher-speed stopping
• Cargo loads
• Hilly routes and longer descents
• Wet conditions where you want steadier modulation

Because the braking force is spread more evenly, pad wear is often reduced, and dual-piston brake pads can last 20%+ longer in many real-world setups.

SafeSeal™ is designed to support battery durability, consistency, and everyday usability. Whether it is the right choice depends on your riding needs and preferences.

• The gel-filled internal structure is designed to support internal components and may help limit the spread of internal reactions in the event of a short circuit or thermal event
• Provides additional structural support for battery cells and the BMS, which may improve resistance to vibration and impact during normal use
• May contribute to more stable temperature behavior, helping maintain more consistent performance across different weather conditions
• Includes an added layer of sealing that may assist with resistance to moisture and everyday environmental exposure

As with all lithium-ion batteries, performance and safety depend on proper use, storage, and operating conditions. No battery system can eliminate all risks associated with lithium-ion technology.

UL (Underwriters Laboratories) certification is widely recognized in North America as a leading safety standard for a wide range of products. In today’s e-bike industry, two common UL standards are UL 2271, which focuses on lithium-ion battery safety, and UL 2849, which evaluates the full e-bike electrical system (including the battery, charger, motor, wiring, and key safety functions). An e-bike that meets these standards has been tested to rigorous safety requirements. EMMO electric bicycles are both UL 2271 and UL 2849 certified.

Customer Reviews

Overall rating: 5.0 / 5 from 23 reviews.

I use mine for fishing spots that are a pain to reach by car. Rod case and a small tackle bag go on the back, then I ride the last stretch instead of walking it. Thats probably not what everyone buys one for but it works ridiculously well for me.

I was expecting the fat tires to feel kind of slow and clumsy on pavement but theyre better than I thought. Definitely still a substantial bike, but it doesnt feel awkward once youre moving. I mostly notice the extra tire when I hit gravel or broken shoulders where it feels much more forgiving.

Ikong Max Ebike

I live outside town and a lot of my riding is shoulders, gravel concessions and random dirt shortcuts. The Ikong Max suits that way better than the slimmer tire ebike I used before. I wanted something that felt secure when the surface got loose and when I had gear with me. The 750W motor has enough pull that loaded starts dont feel lazy, and the fat tires make rough edges and soft patches a lot less annoying. I also like being able to remove the battery and charge it indoors instead of parking the whole bike near an outlet.

Ikong Max Ebike

brakes are strong. bike has some real weight to it so im glad they didnt cheap out there

Ikong Max Ebike

My husband tried it once and now keeps taking it. probably says enough

Ikong Max Ebike

Used it around a campground for a long weekend and it was perfect for that kind of riding. Dirt lanes, grass, loose gravel, little hills, basically whatever was there. I had a bag strapped to the rack most of the time and didnt have to baby the bike at all.

Ikong Max Ebike

big comfortable bike. no drama, just gets over stuff

Ikong Max Ebike

The rear suspension is why I picked this over a cheaper fat tire model. Our cottage access road gets washboard sections every summer and that usually beats me up after 20 minutes. With this I can stay seated through most of it without getting rattled around.

Ikong Max Ebike

champagne colour is clean. didnt think I'd like it this much from the website pics

Ikong Max Ebike

I carry a pretty loaded pannier plus groceries on the rear rack and the bike never feels bothered by it. That's the capacity that caught my attention. It feels built for actually carrying stuff instead of just looking rugged.

Ikong Max Ebike

jai pris la batterie 20Ah pour les longues journées dehors et je suis contente de pas devoir penser constamment au pourcentage restant

Ikong Max Ebike

Looks huge beside a regular bike exactly what I wanted though

Ikong Max Ebike

le rouge est vraiment plus beau en vrai. gros look, gros pneus, ça fait pas du tout vélo fragile

Ikong Max Ebike

The rear shock actually matters if youre heavier.

Ikong Max Ebike

gros vélo oui, mais très confortable. je préfère ça à un vélo léger qui tape partout sur les mauvais chemins

Ikong Max Ebike

I originally looked at this because of the load rating, not because I planned to max it out, just wanted something with a bit of margin. Im a bigger rider and usually have a backpack plus some gear, and the bike still feels composed. What surprised me most is how comfortable it is over repeated bumps. The front and rear suspension together make long rough stretches much easier on my hands and back. I went with the 20Ah battery since my rides can be unpredictable and sometimes turn into half-day trips. The screen and navigation are nice, but honestly the simple stuff matters more to me: strong brakes, lots of grip, enough motor, and a rack I actually use.

Ikong Max Ebike

lots of motor. I barely think about the hill behind my house anymore lol

Ikong Max Ebike

I bought it mostly because our roads get awful once winter hits. The fat tires have been the biggest difference for me, especially when theres slush pushed along the edge of the road. I ride slower in that stuff anyway, but the bike doesnt wander around nearly as much as I expected.

Ikong Max Ebike

les pneus sont énormes mais cest justement ce que jaime. très rassurant sur la terre molle et le gravier

Ikong Max Ebike

First ride was basically me looking for the worst patches of road nearby just to see what happened it handled them way better than expected

Ikong Max Ebike

this thing feels like a tank in the best way. big tires, big frame, super planted on rough ground

Ikong Max Ebike

très bon pour nos petites routes de campagne. confortable, puissant, pas stressant quand le chemin devient mauvais

Ikong Max Ebike

je voulais surtout quelque chose de confortable pour les chemins autour du chalet. franchement ça absorbe super bien les bosses
