FAQs
Yes, fat tire e-bikes are designed for all terrains, including pavement.
Compared with other e-bike styles, their main advantage is versatility: the wider tires handle a broader range of surfaces and more complex road conditions with a smooth, stable feel.
The Trevo Pro is designed mainly for city commuting, and it can handle light gravel and packed paths, but it’s not intended for rough off-road trails or very uneven terrain. Its 2.1 inch tires are a good all-around width for pavement and occasional mixed surfaces, but you’ll get the best comfort and control on smoother routes.
For a better ride on gravel, keep your speed moderate, run an appropriate tire pressure for your weight and road conditions, and do a quick check that your tires are properly inflated before heading out. If you plan to ride more frequently on loose gravel, sand, or bumpy trails, a fat-tire e-bike is usually a better fit: https://emmo.ca/collections/fat-tire-ebikes

SafeSeal™ is designed to support battery durability, consistency, and everyday usability. Whether it is the right choice depends on your riding needs and preferences.
• The gel-filled internal structure is designed to support internal components and may help limit the spread of internal reactions in the event of a short circuit or thermal event
• Provides additional structural support for battery cells and the BMS, which may improve resistance to vibration and impact during normal use
• May contribute to more stable temperature behavior, helping maintain more consistent performance across different weather conditions
• Includes an added layer of sealing that may assist with resistance to moisture and everyday environmental exposure
As with all lithium-ion batteries, performance and safety depend on proper use, storage, and operating conditions. No battery system can eliminate all risks associated with lithium-ion technology.
UL (Underwriters Laboratories) certification is widely recognized in North America as a leading safety standard for a wide range of products. In today’s e-bike industry, two common UL standards are UL 2271, which focuses on lithium-ion battery safety, and UL 2849, which evaluates the full e-bike electrical system (including the battery, charger, motor, wiring, and key safety functions). An e-bike that meets these standards has been tested to rigorous safety requirements. EMMO electric bicycles are both UL 2271 and UL 2849 certified.
Yes, fat tire e-bikes are a great option for winter riding because the wider tires and deeper tread provide more grip and stability on snow, slush, and uneven surfaces.
For the best winter feel, many riders lower tire pressure slightly for extra traction and add fenders to help manage spray.
les rues autour de chez moi sont pleines de fissures et de réparations. la suspension avant et arrière rend vraiment le trajet plus confortable sans donner limpression dun gros vélo mou
I didnt expect the shorter wheelbase to make such a noticeable difference, but it does when I'm turning around in tight alleys or maneuvering between parked cars. The bike still feels substantial, just much less awkward than a longer moped style ebike.
I went with the longer range battery because my schedule changes a lot and I hate planning rides around charging. Some days I barely do 10km, other days I'm bouncing between errands, visiting family and meeting friends across town. The extra range gives me room for that without checking the battery every five minutes. What I appreciate most about the JEX Pro though is how practical it feels. The storage compartment gets used constantly, the fenders actually cover enough of the tire, and the bike is short enough that I can fit it beside my car in the garage without rearranging everything. It has a moped look but doesnt feel oversized when I'm actually riding it.
What sold me was the storage and passenger space, but the full suspension ended up mattering just as much. My sister rides on the back sometimes and our neighbourhood has a mix of patched asphalt, sunken manhole covers and speed bumps. With two people on the bike those hits could get annoying fast, but the rear shock takes a lot of the harshness out of it. The 34mm front fork also keeps the front end composed when the pavement gets ugly. I'm 5'6 and the compact size is still easy for me to maneuver when parking or backing it through our gate.
I use it for short trips around the neighbourhood and picking up food. The moped seat is way more comfortable than a regular bicycle saddle for that kind of riding, and having storage underneath means I usually leave the backpack at home.
Had my partner on the back for a short ride and the rear suspension made a bigger difference than I expected. bumps that would normally feel pretty harsh with two people were much less jarring
I park behind my building where space is pretty limited, so the compact shape was a big reason I picked this model. It turns sharply enough that getting through the gate is easy, and the under-seat compartment means I dont need a basket sticking out even farther.
My commute has a lot of broken pavement, speed bumps and tight corners. The full suspension is probably what I notice most day to day because the bike doesnt keep transferring every little hit into the seat and handlebars. The shorter wheelbase still feels easy to move around traffic, so it doesnt trade city agility for comfort.
I originally cared more about the storage, but after a few weeks the suspension is probably the feature I appreciate most. There are two nasty speed bumps behind my building and I dont have to brace for them every single time anymore.
*The rated travel distance for our E-bikes is determined under ideal conditions, which include a speed of 32 km/h, flat road surfaces, good weather conditions, and the bike being in optimal condition. It's important to note that the actual travel distance may vary due to factors such as the rider's weight, road conditions, weather conditions, and the overall condition of the bike. The actual travel distance may be shorter than the rated distance. We cannot guarantee any specific travel distance and advise riders to plan their trips accordingly.
*In Canada, e-bike regulations vary by province and region. Riders should familiarize themselves with the specific laws in their area. Generally, the maximum speed limit for e-bikes is 32 km/h, which is the default maximum speed for our e-bikes. As the rider, it is your full responsibility to comply with local laws and use the e-bike safely and responsibly. Be sure to check for any specific regulations, such as age requirements, helmet laws, and other applicable rules in your province or municipality. *Additional charges may apply for navigation service (service offered by third-party).
*The top speed listed in the specifications represents the legal speed limit for on-road use in most regions. Some models are capable of higher speeds for off-road or special-use purposes. Please consult your local EMMO dealer for details regarding the top speed of this model. It is the rider’s sole responsibility to comply with all applicable laws and regulations when operating this vehicle, including but not limited to speed restrictions.
