However, it’s recommended to use a dedicated outlet for your charger — meaning one that’s not shared with other high-power appliances — to ensure stable power and safe charging. Always follow the owner’s manual and manufacturer’s safety instructions.

How much does it cost to charge?

Charging an e-bike battery is very inexpensive — usually around $0.20–$0.40 CAD for a full charge, depending on local electricity rates and battery size. Most e-bikes use about 1–2 kWh of electricity per charge.

What is a torque sensor on an e-bike, and is it better than a cadence sensor?

A torque sensor is a key part of how an e-bike’s pedal assist works, helping the motor respond to your pedaling in real time.
