FAQs
The Trevo Pro is designed mainly for city commuting, and it can handle light gravel and packed paths, but it’s not intended for rough off-road trails or very uneven terrain. Its 2.1 inch tires are a good all-around width for pavement and occasional mixed surfaces, but you’ll get the best comfort and control on smoother routes.
For a better ride on gravel, keep your speed moderate, run an appropriate tire pressure for your weight and road conditions, and do a quick check that your tires are properly inflated before heading out. If you plan to ride more frequently on loose gravel, sand, or bumpy trails, a fat-tire e-bike is usually a better fit: https://emmo.ca/collections/fat-tire-ebikes
Some local trail rules may apply.
A torque sensor measures how hard you’re pedalling, while a cadence sensor measures whether (and how fast) you’re pedalling.
How they work
• Torque sensor: reads pedal force/torque and increases motor assistance in proportion to your effort, so pushing harder typically gives you more help.
• Cadence sensor: detects pedal rotation and cadence, then provides assistance based more on the selected assist level once pedalling is detected.
How they feel on the road
• Torque sensor: smoother, more “connected” assistance that feels natural when starting, accelerating, and climbing.
• Cadence sensor: more immediate, steady assistance once it’s activated, which can feel especially easy for relaxed cruising.
Which one to choose
Torque sensors are often found on more premium setups for riders who prioritize a natural ride feel and responsive climbing, while cadence sensors are common on value-focused models for riders who want simple, consistent assistance.
In one line: choose torque for the most natural, proportional assist; choose cadence for straightforward, consistent assist and strong value.
Yes. Fat tire e-bikes are built to handle a variety of seasonal road conditions — from wet spring pavement to slushy winter paths. The wide tires improve grip on loose, soft, or uneven surfaces like wet leaves, gravel, light snow, or mud. Their low-pressure design helps absorb shocks and smooth out rough terrain, while features like maintenance-free MAG rims reduce upkeep even in harsher weather. Whether you’re commuting on rainy streets or exploring in snowy parks, they offer comfort, control, and stability year-round.
Dual-piston hydraulic brakes use two pistons (small hydraulic plungers that push the brake pads toward the rotor) to create stronger, smoother, and more consistent stopping power than the single-piston setups found on many e-bikes.
In practical riding, dual-piston brakes can be especially helpful for:
• Heavier riders or higher-speed stopping
• Cargo loads
• Hilly routes and longer descents
• Wet conditions where you want steadier modulation
Because the braking force is spread more evenly, pad wear is often reduced, and dual-piston brake pads can last 20%+ longer in many real-world setups.
SafeSeal™ is designed to support battery durability, consistency, and everyday usability. Whether it is the right choice depends on your riding needs and preferences.
• The gel-filled internal structure is designed to support internal components and may help limit the spread of internal reactions in the event of a short circuit or thermal event
• Provides additional structural support for battery cells and the BMS, which may improve resistance to vibration and impact during normal use
• May contribute to more stable temperature behavior, helping maintain more consistent performance across different weather conditions
• Includes an added layer of sealing that may assist with resistance to moisture and everyday environmental exposure
As with all lithium-ion batteries, performance and safety depend on proper use, storage, and operating conditions. No battery system can eliminate all risks associated with lithium-ion technology.
UL (Underwriters Laboratories) certification is widely recognized in North America as a leading safety standard for a wide range of products. In today’s e-bike industry, two common UL standards are UL 2271, which focuses on lithium-ion battery safety, and UL 2849, which evaluates the full e-bike electrical system (including the battery, charger, motor, wiring, and key safety functions). An e-bike that meets these standards has been tested to rigorous safety requirements. EMMO electric bicycles are both UL 2271 and UL 2849 certified.
Picked up the Ikong Pro recently and it’s been a great ride so far. The assist feels smooth and natural, especially when starting from a stop or climbing hills. The frame feels tough and steady, and I really like not having to worry much about the wheels — they look sharp and seem built to last.
It has been solid for both my work commute and weekend rides. The motor gives me enough punch to climb hills without slowing down, and the brakes feel dependable even in stop-and-go traffic. It’s the kind of bike that feels built for daily use.
Been riding the Ikong Pro for a few weeks now and it’s been a great mix of strength and comfort. The assist feels really natural when I’m pedaling, and the suspension makes rougher roads less tiring. Battery life has been steady too, no stress about running out mid-ride.
The picture online dont do it justice. My bike came assembled and ready to go. The ride os smooth and its easy to understand the controls. This is my second ebike and i wish i bought an Emmo the first time around.
Delivery/Shipping - Shipping took a little longer than I would have liked; however, was delivered on the date promised, and was very well packaged, no damage during shipping
Assembly - Very easy to put together - pretty typical of an ebike - add the front tire, handlebars, pedals, fender, and good to go.
Bike performance - Only done a couple of short rides but really like the feel of the tourque sensor - very natural feeling. Really like the integrated signal lights (front and back), but the braking feels weak, and the shifter feels to be on the cheap side. Love the size and feel of the bike, and the adjustable stem is a great bonus.
Navigation of the menu is very simple, and there are lots of options. However, there is supposed to be bluetooth connectivity, achieved by downloading an app. The app is not available in Canada, which for a Canadian company is disappointing. Not a deal breaker, and does not impact the performance of the bike, but would have been nice to have this functionality.
Overall, very solid bike but would have expected slightly higher quality components given the price point. There are some great features on this bike - mostly the torque sensor, and the gel filled battery. Looking forward to getting out for some longer rides to assess the battery capacity. Would recommend this bike to others.
Absolutely love this bike! I take it on mixed trails and paved roads near my area. The fat tires grip really well and the torque sensor keeps the power nice and consistent. The assembly video was very straightforward, and setup out of the box was easy. It rides like a dream.
Got this for my commute from home to work, around 18 km each way. It has tons of power and feels really stable even on bumpy sections. The assist responds perfectly to pedal pressure, and the seat is comfortable enough for long rides. If anyone in my family ever needs a gift, I’d buy this again for them without hesitation.
The Ikong Pro has been awesome for daily riding. Setup was easy even for someone not mechanical (me). The frame feels strong, and the suspension takes care of rough roads well. I ride mainly around London and so far the range is real. Haven’t had a single issue yet
Ridden it in drizzle and light wind and everything worked perfectly fine. The water resistance and sealed battery are really reassuring. The suspension does a great job absorbing cracks and small bumps, and it’s noticeably thicker than the bikes I’ve owned before. I genuinely enjoy using it for both errands and casual rides.
Bought this bike in early spring and it’s been a blast. I use it for delivery work in Toronto and it handles city traffic great. The fat tires grip well on wet pavement, and the hydraulic brakes feel trustworthy when I stop with a full load. I really like the color display, it can connect with the app for navigation and has a few custom settings that make daily riding easier. The assist levels are smooth, and the best part is I don’t feel tired after a long day anymore.
I’ve had my Ikong Pro for just over a month now, and here’s my honest experience so far:
Assembly: Took about 40 minutes by myself. Everything was well-packed, and the setup was straightforward .
Ride Quality: Super smooth and quiet. The torque sensor makes the pedal assist feel very natural, not jumpy like cheaper bikes I’ve tried before.
Motor Power: The 750 W motor pulls strong up small hills, even when I’m carrying groceries or my backpack. Feels effortless but controlled.
Braking: The hydraulic brakes are crisp and reliable. I ride in light rain sometimes and they’ve never slipped or felt weak.
Comfort: The wide saddle and upright posture make longer rides easy on the back. I’m around 5’9” and it fits comfortably.
Battery Life: I usually do short daily trips (~12 km total) and charge every 4–5 days. Still holds power like day one.
Design & Build: Feels sturdy, well-balanced, and looks better in person than in photos. Overall, it’s been a solid commuter and weekend bike powerful, stable, and easy to live with.
This ebike has quickly become my go-to for daily rides. Power delivery is smooth, and it’s surprisingly quiet. I’ve used it on paved trails and side streets in Ontario and never had an issue. The fat tires grip well and look great too.
Pedal assist is spot on with no weird lag, and the torque sensor feels like a smart sensor compared to the regular ones. It reacts right away to how I pedal. The wide saddle and upright position are great. I do around 25 km on weekends and it’s always fun. The bike feels solid and the range is accurate.
After two weeks of testing, I’m really impressed. The Ikong Pro rides quiet and strong, handles gravel and paved paths equally well. The motor feels refined, not jerky, and the hydraulic brakes are top-notch. Feels premium at this price point.
I commute through downtown Toronto daily, and this bike has been a game-changer. It accelerates smoothly, handles curbs and rough patches like nothing. The hydraulic brakes inspire confidence even in rain. Battery easily covers a full week of rides. Would 100% recommend it.
MAG wheels feel super solid, no flex or wobble so far. Seems like it’ll need way less maintenance than regular spoke wheels. Love that I don’t have to worry about re-tightening anything.
Haven’t hit snow yet but the fat tires already feel solid on wet grass and gravel. Pretty sure this will be my go-to ride even in the winter. Can’t wait to test it out once it snows.
